GENERAL FEATURES OF THE INSTALLATION

The photovoltaic installations are connected to Enel’s public distribution network at low voltage (LV) or medium voltage (MV) and are composed of the following elements:

  • Photovoltaic field

  • Parallel string combiner boxes

  • Power conversion and control systems (inverters)

  • Step-up transformer from low to medium voltage (LV/MV)

  • Protection, switching, and interface devices for LV/MV

  • Power supply for auxiliary systems

  • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for auxiliary services and protections of the electrical substation

  • Conductors for connection between components, grounding, and linking to Enel’s public LV/MV network

PANEL SPECIFICATIONS

The photovoltaic modules are composed of:

  • A rear sheet of insulating material to protect the module

  • 60-72 polycrystalline cells connected in series

  • Two sheets of encapsulating material

  • A high-transmittance tempered glass

  • An anodized aluminum frame

Each module includes:

  • A junction box with an IP65 protection rating

  • Pre-wiring with 4 mm² solar cable and Multi Contact type connectors

  • An identification label with:

    • Manufacturer’s name

    • Model with electrical and mechanical specifications

    • Barcode and serial number visible under the glass (to prevent reuse in case of theft)

ANCHORING CHARACTERISTICS

The photovoltaic installation is distributed across several separate rooftops. All the structures mounted on the roofs are interconnected using special accessories to form a single network structure (raft-type), which reduces the number of counterweights needed.

The structure consists of:

  • Base rails fixed directly onto the roof

  • On top of these, triangles (inclined supports) are mounted at specific intervals

  • Above the triangles, the beams are placed where the modules are attached

  • The inclination of the triangles is determined by the height of the parapets on each section of the roof

  • Crossbeams are also installed to complete the structural grid and allow the entire system to be anchored to the perimeter walls

All the described elements are made from X-profile aluminum EN AW-6060, which guarantees lightness, corrosion resistance, and structural durability.
