GENERAL FEATURES OF THE INSTALLATION

The photovoltaic installation is connected to Enel’s medium voltage (MV) public distribution network and consists of the following components:

  • Photovoltaic field

  • Parallel combiner boxes for the strings

  • Power conversion and control units (inverters)

  • Low voltage to medium voltage step-up transformer

  • Protection, control, and medium voltage (MV) interface devices

  • Auxiliary load power supply

  • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units for auxiliary services and protection of the electrical cabin

  • Conductors for connecting the various components of the installation

  • Grounding system, as well as connection to Enel’s medium voltage (MV) public network

PANEL SPECIFICATIONS

The panels are monocrystalline, model LDK Solar 220/225P-20, with a nominal power of 220 or 225 W. Each module is equipped with bypass diodes, which automatically isolate sections of the panel that may contain one or more defective or shaded cells.

The panels are mounted in 226 parallel strings, placed on fixed structures of the Radiante model. Each of these strings consists of 20 photovoltaic modules connected in series.

The modules are installed on fixed structures manufactured by ECOWARE SPA, called "Radiante 20," which are entirely made of galvanized steel sheets.

To optimize the arrangement of the Radiante structures on the ground, the manufacturer determined that the best formula is:

dih sin(β) tan(23.5° latitude) + cos(β).

MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LAND

The terrain is flat and does not present any significant morphological issues, such as snow accumulation, fog, hail, or strong winds.
